The Legend Lives On: Nissan GT-R

Perfect driving conditions are often hard to come by, which is why Nissan created a supercar designed to drive in any conditions. The GT-R delivers Nissan's ultimate driving experience. With unmatched performance, technology and styling, the Nissan GT-R stands in a class of its own.

At the heart of every supercar is the engine. Nissan GT-R comes with an ideally sized, twin-turbo charged 3.8L V-6 engine, pumping out 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is carefully assembled by hand by a single master craftsman, whose signature is found on a small plaque located on the engine. On the back of every GT-R engine is an IHI turbocharger which combines the exhaust manifold and turbocharger into a single unit. Doing so assures the intake and exhaust gas flow is optimized for the best performance.

To reduce the amount of time it takes to shift, the Nissan GT-R has a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission allowing you to shift gears in the blink of an eye (0.15 seconds in R-Mode).

To reduce drag, Nissan fine-tuned the GT-R's aerodynamics. By creating a specially shaped front fascia, contoured side sills and extensions at the lower portion of the rear bumper, the GT-R cuts through the air efficiently. Nissan also took time to address the exposed working gear underneath the car where wind can create lift, slowing you down. To eliminate this, Nissan engineers added composite panels, giving it a flat, aerodynamic surface.

Finally, in order to go really fast, you also need the ability to stop just as quickly. The Nissan GT-R has 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers for strong, more balanced clamping power. The Nissan GT-R also benefits from a full-floating rotor which is a technology that originated by Brembo.

Did we mention the Nissan GT-R is All-Wheel-Drive? Because Supercars are meant to be enjoyed year-round, the Nissan GT-R comes with one of the most advanced All-Wheel-Drive and Vehicle Dynamic Control systems ever used in a car. Instead of the traditional 50/50 torque split between front and rear axles, the electronically controlled AWD system provides up to 100% of the available torque to the rear wheel and can send up to 50% of torque to the front wheels. This gives the Nissan GT-R the steering feel and response of a rear-wheel drive vehicle, while adding the confidence of driving an AWD vehicle.

The Nissan GT-R puts the power in your hands with three modes, allowing you to specify performance parameters for the transmission, suspension, and Vehicle Dynamic Control system. With R-Mode you can maximize performance for the quickest shifts, adjusted suspension and high-performance handling. Normal mode adjusts the vehicle for a smooth, refined ride, and special modes for a more customized driving experience.

The Nissan GT-R is unlike any other Supercar on the market today.  For more information and to experience the difference yourself, reach out to our sales team to schedule anappointment today!
